Day Out with Thomas

We spent the weekend in Ft. Worth. Our primary reason for going was to go to Day Out with Thomas. We got to take a ride on Thomas's coaches, with Thomas pulling us. We also got to meet Bob the Builder and Sir Topham Hat. We ended our morning with lunch at The Rainforest Cafe. They seated us right next to the gorillas, and Abby did not like them, and told the waiter how much she disliked them. Sat. night, we had a picnic with some old friends, and then after church on Sunday, we had lunch with our friends Marcie and Allen. Marcie and I moved to Ft. Worth at the same time and have been friends for over 13 years now. Our kids are around the same age and loved playing together.

Palm Sunday

We were in Ft. Worth this weekend, and we attended our old church this morning. It was so nice to be back there. The worship leader is amazing. We miss him most of all. The pastor had us each write on a piece of paper something in our life we want to give over to God. At the end of the service, we all went forward to the front of the church (a very large church, so lots of people), placed the card in a basket, then nailed a nail into a cross that was lying on the stairs leading up to the altar. This was a very emotional thing for me......very hard to stand in a line waiting for my turn to symobolically nail Jesus to the cross, and while I was waiting, I could hear the nails from others being hammered in. I really just wanted to turn around and run out. After that, we took communion, and then the pastor took the basket out the back doors to a trash can and dumped the papers in and burned them. It was a very moving experience for me.

This is news?

This was in an article from AOL's front page about outdoor urinals in China. Why is this news? I saw this almost 2 years ago in Amsterdam. LOL The first pic is from the article. The other 2 are from my personal collection I took myself.

Spring is in the Air

One of the perks of living in southeast Texas is that we don't have to endure the winter weather for as long as most of the country. Well, truth be told, we don't really have to endure it much at all. LOL But, as the northeast is dealing with the aftermath of a bad winter storm over the weekend, here is my little fashionista on her way to preschool this morning. Notice her Ariel necklace and the wand from her Fairytale Princess Dora in her pocket. She is all girl!

My first listing went on the market 2 days ago, and this is me with my very first For Sale sign. The good news is that we already have an offer!
